RSN, the Resort Sports Network, is the highest rated television network in more than 100 mountain and beach communities in the United States. The problem was that not enough media buyers and planners were aware of that fact, and selling ad space on RSN was a challenge. We not only had to make media buyers and planners aware that RSN is the #1 network they’d never heard of, but we had to do it in a way that stood out among the pile of marketing materials they receive every single day.
For RSN, Captains created an integrated campaign that included two email blasts, a print ad, and a direct mail package that truly makes its recipients “change the way they view media buying”: inside the DM boxes are retro View-Masters whose 3-D slides showcase an impressive host of stats about RSN.
