What do the telephone and wind energy have in common?
By Lindsey Campbell, Captains of Industry
When it comes the creation of great inventions and new discoveries, public resistance to change is almost always included in the package deal. In fact, there was a “War on Telephone Poles”. The New York Times reported on February 6, 1889 that whenever telephone companies put up poles, citizens would saw them down — they’d even defend their sidewalks with rifles. They argued that they were “defending the aesthetics of their property”.
Sadly, not much has changed today. Sure, no one has taken a chainsaw to their local utility poles lately, but people are still making more than just a fuss over the building of wind farms, and for the same reason — their view.
If you look at progress, the telephone sparked a revolution in how we communicate with each other. It helped pave the way for cell phones, fiber optics, and the Internet. If the price of clean energy revolution is looking at a few wind turbines, I say bring it on.
What’s your view on wind energy?

Can you tell me who did your layout? I’ve been looking for one kind of like yours. Thank you.
Jean Levasseur
We actually designed the layout ourselves, and had a freelancer in our network code it for us.
