SEO Strategist
Location: Boston, MA.
Job Description:
Captains of Industry, a marketing communications and video production agency located in the heart of the Faneuil Hall area of Boston, is looking for a talented SEO/SEM professional to join the team. If you have a lot of creativity, energy and smarts, and you’re interested in working on renewable energy accounts, please send us at least 3 case studies for how you’ve used SEO and SEM to exceed client marketing goals, and a cover letter that knocks our socks off (and shoes, too).
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Manage and execute ongoing search engine optimization strategies for all client and internal websites
- Work with web development team to create content and structure for all new client websites
- Run and track Captains’ and clients’ Google AdWords and other SEM efforts, including developing creative, lead-generating landing pages
- Develop and optimize content for clients to lift their presence in the search engines, including eBooks, blog posts, video descriptions
- Promote and distribute content through social networking channels geared specifically towards client industry
- Brainstorm new ideas
- Help grow Captains of Industry
- Must be able to come in on day one and begin to execute SEO and SEM campaigns for clients.
Job Requirements The successful candidate must have the following experience, skills and education:
- At least 3 years of communications/marketing of SEO and SEM experience with corporate clients.
- Proven track record of generating measurable results, both in lifting clients’ presence in organic search and meeting SEM goals
- Love and understanding of analytics, tracking, and presenting data in an understandable way
- Ability to brainstorm new campaigns and programs for clients
- Excellent writing and editing skills
- Knowledge Microsoft Office
- Excellent knowledge of internet, including research, social media, and trends
- Excellent organization skills
- Attentive to detail, ability to take direction and work closely with other team members
- Ability to work independently, be self motivated in a fast-paced environment
- Intermediate knowledge of HTML/CSS a plus
- Commitment requires 40 hrs per week on-site.
Salary: Commensurate with Experience
Type of Job: Contract, moving to full-time
