Account Executive
Freelance Junior Designer

Account Executive
Captains of Industry, a marketing communications agency located in the heart of the Faneuil Hall area of Boston, is looking for a talented account executive to join the team. If you have a lot of creativity, energy and talent, and you’re interested in working on renewable energy and other accounts, please send us 2-3 writing samples – along with a cover letter.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Day to day interaction with a range of clients, including status updates, filling miscellaneous requests, and keeping clients on task
  • Working with copy writers to write and edit copy for websites, brochures, videos and other materials
  • Working with Project Managers to help coordinate and meet client deadlines and deliverables
  • Brainstorming new ideas for client work

Job Requirements

The successful candidate must have the following experience, skills and education.

    1-2 years of communications/marketing experience

  • Excellent writing and editing skills
  • Knowledge Microsoft Office
  • Excellent knowledge of internet, including research, social media, and trends
  • Excellent organization skills
  • Attentive to detail, ability to take direction and work closely with other team members
  • Ability to work independently, be self motivated in a fast-paced environment
  • Intermediate knowledge of HTML/CSS a plus

Freelance Junior Designer
Captains of Industry, a marketing communications agency located in the heart of the Faneuil Hall area of Boston, is looking for a talented junior graphic designer to work with us on a freelance/contract basis. If you have a lot of energy and talent, and you’re interested in doing work with renewable energy companies, as well as a variety of other industries, please send us a link to your portfolio – along with a cover letter explaining why you think you will make a great Captain.

The Junior Graphic Designer should be comfortable taking a project from start to finish, working under the direction of the Senior Graphic Designer.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Working on all stages of the design process, from concepting to creating initial layouts to developing finished, production ready designs
  • Working with lead designer on production for both print and online projects
  • Mechanical preparation for print and electronic materials
  • Image editing and file prep

Requirements:

  • 1-3 years of design experience
  • Proficiency with all major design software, including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Dreamweaver, and Flash
  • Understanding and experience with both print and web production
